Asterisk cmd SetCallerID

Author image

SetCallerID

Synopsis

SetCallerID(“Name” <Number>[|a])
Deprecated in 1.2, removed in 1.4.- See Setting Callerid

Description

Set Caller*ID on a call to a new value. Sets ANI as well if a flag is used. Note that the variable ${CALLERID} contains the current call’s Caller ID (“name” and <number>). ${CALLERIDNAME} and ${CALLERIDNUM} can also be used to get the current name and number independently.

Notes

  • Be aware that setting fromuser= in sip.conf will overide SetCallerID!
  • If the Caller ID is blocked and you still want to set the Caller Name or ID you may need to SetCallerPres(allowed).
